Happy Friday! I hope you've all had an amazing week.
I've been in Pennsylvania all week with my band, getting ready to kick off our spring tour tomorrow night, which I'm so excited about.
Last night, I was talking to my boyfriend and found myself having a bit of a come-to-Jesus moment… with myself.
I realized I'd been putting all this pressure on myself - almost shaming myself - for not doing “enough.” Which is wild when I say it out loud.
But it also got me thinking about how many people feel this way…especially when they don't even know what they want to be doing yet, or how they're supposed to make a difference.
There's this pressure we carry around…
like we're supposed to wake up one day and just know.
like we're supposed to wake up one day and just know.
“What's my purpose?”
“What am I supposed to be doing with my life?”
“What is the thing?”
“What am I supposed to be doing with my life?”
“What is the thing?”
And if we don't have a clear answer, we feel behind.
Like we're missing something.
Like we're missing something.
But what if that's not the point at all?
Life isn't meant to be solved.
It's meant to be experienced.
It's meant to be experienced.
It's meant to be messy, layered, surprising, and full of contrast.
If you follow Abraham Hicks, you've probably heard this idea -
that contrast helps us clarify what we actually want.
that contrast helps us clarify what we actually want.
Which means…
You don't need to have it all figured out.
You just need to be willing to try things.
You just need to be willing to try things.
I've Lived a Dozen Lives Already
When I look back at my life, it doesn't make sense on paper.
I've been a body piercer.
A personal trainer.
I got my degree in Communications Arts.
I started a marketing company.
Co-founded a non-profit.
Lived in five different states.

I'm a touring musician.
An author.
A coach.
An author.
A coach.
And I'm not even close to being done.
There isn't one straight line.
There's just… movement.
Follow What Feels Alive
The point isn't to find “the one thing” and stay there forever.
The point is to follow what lights you up right now.
And when that thing stops lighting you up?
You're allowed to pivot.
You're allowed to change.
You're allowed to become someone new.
The only thing thing that typically gets in the way of this is us.
Most of the time, it's not a lack of opportunity.
It's our own voice. The one that says:
- “What if this doesn't work?”
- “What will people think?”
- “I should have figured this out by now…”
Those are just limiting beliefs.
They're not truth.
Because if the idea is in you…there's a reason.
Let Yourself Be Seen
You don't need permission to try something new.
You don't need certainty to begin.
You don't need a perfectly mapped-out plan.
You just need the courage to follow your curiosity…
and let your light be seen in whatever form it wants to take.
and let your light be seen in whatever form it wants to take.
It Starts Closer Than You Think
We think change has to be big.
A new city.
A new career.
A complete reinvention.
A new career.
A complete reinvention.
But real change?
It starts in your own backyard.
In your thoughts.
In your daily choices.
In the small moments where you decide to show up differently.
In your daily choices.
In the small moments where you decide to show up differently.
Because every thought…
every action…
creates a ripple.
every action…
creates a ripple.
So Here's Your Permission Slip
You don't have to have it all figured out.
You don't have to get it right the first time.
You don't have to commit to one version of yourself forever.
Just start.
Try something.
Follow what feels good.
Pay attention to what lights you up.
Follow what feels good.
Pay attention to what lights you up.
And trust that you'll figure it out…by living it.
If this resonated with you, and you're feeling that pull to shift something in your life…I do this work one-on-one with a small number of clients each week, which is one of my favorite things in the world to do.
I want you to remember this though: It's not about having it all figured out - it's about learning how to trust yourself enough to take the next step.

My soul needed this – we were meant to meet … not my chance… there was a purpose to it…
